PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated Machinist to support the assembly, repair, and fabrication of metal components used in critical industrial and technical applications. This entry?level role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, operating mechanical equipment, and contributing directly to the creation of high?precision parts and assemblies.
Your work will help ensure the accuracy, quality, and performance of components that support key operations across various industries.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components using mechanical tools and shop equipment
Build parts into sub?assemblies or complete units according to specifications
Interpret blueprints and design sketches to verify dimensions and tolerances
Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality and accuracy
Work safely around machinery and industrial equipment
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Support team members and communicate progress to your supervisor
Perform duties under direct supervision with a focus on learning and developing technical skills
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field
Ability to follow instructions and established processes
Familiarity with common manufacturing practices and tools
Ability to work under direct supervision in a structured environment
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred (Not Required)
Certifications related to metal fabrication, welding, or machinery operation
Experience interpreting blueprints or working with mechanical equipment
Physical & Safety Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without significant repetition
Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, and physical risks (proper PPE provided)
Operation of powered industrial trucks may be required (classified as "Industrial" or "Heavy")
Adherence to all safety rules, guidelines, and protective equipment requirements

Pay Details: $16.45 per hour
