Job Title: Experienced HR Support Assistant
Pay: $20-$24/hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Start Date: ASAP
Looking for a hands-on role in a growing company? Join a progressive manufacturing organization as an Experienced HR Support Assistant in Dover, NH and make an impact every day. As an HR Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in stabilizing and enhancing day-to-day HR operations at our Dover site while supporting our employees and managers with HR processes. You'll work closely with the Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner to deliver results that matter.
What You'll Do: As an Experienced HR Support Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and ensuring weekly employee timecards are accurate and approved in the time and attendance system (preferably ADP WFN).
- Preparing and submitting payroll-related reports to Corporate Payroll.
- Researching and helping resolve timecard and paycheck discrepancies in partnership with Corporate Payroll.
- Communicating approved employee changes using corporate personnel action forms (PAFs).
- Tracking and monitoring employee Leaves of Absence (LOA), including FMLA processes, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
- Assisting employees with benefits questions and supporting the annual open enrollment process.
- Coordinating interviews in partnership with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers, conducting new hire onboarding and orientations.
- Managing employment verifications and handling I-9 processing and personnel file audits to ensure compliance.
- Supporting employee engagement, recognition, and morale programs.
- Assisting with workers' compensation administration and safety compliance.
- Updating and auditing HR documents and providing general HR administrative support.
What You'll Bring: The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- 1-2 years of experience in HR (HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role).
- Experience in payroll, benefits, or leave administration required; familiarity with FMLA and LOA processes strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with time and attendance systems; experience with ADP WFN is a plus.
- A solid understanding of I-9s and employment verification requirements.
- Background in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field preferred, but relevant experience is equally considered.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP) are a plus.
Skills & Competencies: - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High level of discretion with handling confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel; PowerPoint a plus).
- Self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable as the primary HR presence onsite.
