Check out the opportunity below and apply today!Our client has a remote contract opportunity for aNetwork Firewall Resource (Palo Alto) .Looking to work with someone that has Palo Alto Panorama expertise and has performed global Palo Alto Firewall upgrades.Remote – PST working hoursCore ResponsibilitiesArchitect & Deploy: Lead the end-to-end setup and deployment of Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS) physical and virtual appliances (VM-Series).Cloud Integration: Design and manage security within AWS, including VPC design, Transit Gateway (TGW) integration, and Load Balancer (ALB/NLB) security.Network Mastery: Handle expert-level routing and switching (BGP, OSPF) and complex VPN configurations (IPSec, GlobalProtect).Security Policy Optimization: Implement Zero Trust principles, App-ID, User-ID, and advanced threat prevention profiles.Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive packet analysis and cloud-native troubleshooting to resolve performance bottlenecks and security gaps.Strategic Communication: Interface with executive leadership to explain technical risks and project milestones in clear, non-technical business terms. Technical Qualifications (The “PCNSE OR PCNSC” Equivalent)Palo Alto Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Panorama, physical firewalls, and VM-Series in public cloud. Mastery of the PAN-OS feature set is non-negotiable.AWS Cloud Security: Expert knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups) and automation tools.Networking Fundamentals: Equivalent to PCNSE OR PCNSC Security/Enterprise level knowledge. You should be able to explain BGP route reflection and stateful inspection in your sleep.CertificationsPCNSE or PCNSC is highly preferred.
