Join a dedicated team focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors, and vendors across a regional healthcare district in the Pacific Northwest. This full-time, night-shift role involves conducting security rounds both indoors and outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions, to ensure the safety and security of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections and patrols of assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility's interior and exterior.
• Act as a liaison and public relations representative, providing courteous and professional communication with patients, visitors, and staff regarding security and safety matters.
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance and support medical personnel as needed.
• Coordinate effectively with medical professionals, law enforcement, firefighters, and senior management.
• Ensure doors and windows are secure and intact during inspections.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid Driver's License mandatory.
• Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.
• One to three years of experience in law enforcement or security, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications and Training

• HIPAA, Restraint Training, and Emergency Code Training required within six months.
• Preferred: IAHSS Basic Security Officer certification.
• Preferred: Security experience in a healthcare setting.
• Preferred: Healthcare-focused de-escalation training such as AVADE or CPI.
