The Senior Data Automation Engineer will help enhance operational efficiency and business insight by designing, developing, and managing automated data processes across Salesforce, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Tableau. This role bridges technical expertise with business strategy - optimizing data pipelines, integrating enterprise systems, and enabling secure, scalable, and reliable automation. This role creates and maintains critical datasets, and self-service reporting tools that empower teams with accurate insights to enable better decision making.
The ideal candidate is confident serving as a cross-functional expert who will collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows, safeguard data quality, and ensure compliance. They bring technical depth and problem-solving agility, with a strong commitment to advancing their data architecture and automation skills.
The Basics:
- Location: Remote (WFH)
- Compensation: $125,000-$145,000/year, commensurate with experience
- Travel: Up to 10%
- Reports To: Salesforce and Tableau Developer
Salesforce Platform:
- Customize Salesforce data model and automations to align with business requirements
- Manage data governance and integrate external systems
- Support users, optimize performance, and ensure compliance
- Design dashboards with advanced calculations and manage data layers and security
- Administer access controls and tune performance
- Develop scalable databases in SQL Server and Snowflake
- Optimize SQL scripts, support reporting, and maintain ETL pipelines
- Design and schedule automations and workflows
- Monitor and optimize job performance and implement alerting mechanisms
- Maintain documentation and security protocols
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance automation reliability and effectiveness
- Proven expertise with Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake
- Demonstrated ability to design and manage automated data pipelines across multi-platform environments
- Strong experience developing datasets, procedures, and functions in SQL-based systems (Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake)
- Hands-on experience creating self-service, sales-facing reports in Tableau
- Solid understanding of data governance, system integration (APIs, middleware), and automation best practices
- Skilled at collaborating across technical and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of recent, relevant experience in data engineering and analytics
- Salesforce or Snowflake certifications (preferred)
- Experience with Python integration and notebooks (preferred)
