Position Title: Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA)
Location: Tysons Corner, VA / Remote
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role
Sky Solutions is seeking a Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA) to support business process design, requirement definition, and solution alignment for upcoming IRS modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams to ensure Pega solutions meet IRS mission objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis efforts for Pega-based IRS programs
• Engage IRS business stakeholders to gather, validate, and document requirements
• Translate functional and business needs into Pega solution designs
• Design end-to-end case workflows, business rules, UI/UX requirements, and process optimizations
• Conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and facilitate backlog refinement
• Support creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
• Collaborate with LSAs, CSSAs, project managers, and product owners
• Ensure Pega best practices and guardrails are followed from a business architecture perspective
• Provide guidance to junior business analysts and assist with UAT readiness

Required Qualifications

• Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA) or LBA experience on enterprise Pega programs
• Active IRS MBI Clearance, required for this position
• 7+ years of business analysis/business architecture experience
• 4+ years working on Pega projects in a federal or enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of case lifecycle, business rules, personas, and Pega design principles
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow documentation
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with federal agencies (IRS preferred)
• Familiarity with IRS tax systems, financial workflows, or compliance processes
• Experience supporting UAT, training, and change management activities
• Ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
