Description:

Hydraulic Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled in-shop Hydraulic Mechanic who will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and components. This role involves working with equipment such as cylinders, pumps, and hoses to ensure that systems function correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose problems within hydraulic systems and components.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment.
  • Install, assemble, and disassemble hydraulic systems and components.
  • Work proficiently with various hydraulic components including cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses, and filters.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system designs and procedures.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations to ensure proper system function and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and testing results.
  • Source replacement parts and negotiate costs with suppliers.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience in hydraulics, preferably from a production or manufacturing shop.
  • Experience as a service technician in a truck shop.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, hand and power tools, pneumatics, and mechanical repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience in diesel, welding, repair, assembly, and hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Great attention to detail and a strong mechanical history
  • Motivation and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights.
  • Clean driving record necessary to drive service trucks.
  • Must be 22 years old or older to be insured to drive.

Work Environment

Work in a large, temperature-controlled, and organized mechanic shop. The role is hands-on and may involve working on hands and knees, with exposure to dirt. The shop environment is focused and industrious, with team members diligently working on their tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
