Manages multi-state transmission system planning and the long-term assessment of system adequacy and reliability, defines the need, size, location, priority, timing and justification of major system projects, and incorporation of system capital investment proposals into the budget process. Responsible for developing plans for transmission system expansion, replacement and reinforcement and prioritizing and developing the capital budget. The manager establishes goals, monitors and reports results, and is responsible for continuous improvement.
Provides a Transmission Planning Strategy for obtaining ISO project-technical and cost allocation approvals, and ISO policy and other issues that could affect the overall Transmission Business or its customers. Utilizing technical expertise, provides leadership and elicits ideas to solve complex engineering problems and makes major technical recommendations.
Manages proposed transmission projects through ISO-NE, working groups and NEPOOL. Understands the project economics, the ISO generation markets and pricing, and their effects on the Company's Transmission Business and its customers.
Develop plans for solving major engineering problems and is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Provide strategic and tactical leadership for regulatory filings.
Performs analyses for operating companies as required. Manages technical projects having significant impact on the design, engineering, and operation of the transmission system. Location: Boston, MA
