As a Regional Health Physicist within the Radioharma Business Segment, you will hold direct responsibility for supporting a portfolio of cyclotron manufacturing and PET nuclear pharmacy facilities acrossthe Northeastern United States. In this role, you will serve as a key technical and regulatory partner, ensuring radiation safety, environmental health, and operational excellence across critical manufacturing and distribution operations.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day operational support for radiation safety and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across assigned facilities
  • Leading and guiding the implementation of radiation protection and EHS programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, internal policies, and industry standards, with a strong understanding of business and operational impact
  • Preparing, generating, and submitting complex regulatory and corporate reports to meet licensing, compliance, and internal governance requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory agency requirements and corporate policies by developing new programs and updating existing programs in response to changes in regulations, policies, or operational practices
  • Evaluating the radiation safety and EHS impact of new processes, products, and facility changes, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams to develop practical, compliant solutions that support business objectives
  • Overseeing complex EHS and radiation safety initiatives, including compliance audits, regulatory inspections, due diligence activities, and legal or regulatory support efforts as required
  • Independently developing and revising operating procedures, technical basis documents, and other advanced program documentation supporting safe and compliant operations
  • Applying advanced technical judgment and analytical skills to resolve complex, non-routine issues not addressed by existing procedures or standard practices
  • Demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving capability to successfully resolve high-impact, complex, and cross-functional challenges
This Role May Be Well Suited for Candidates Who Have Experience With:
  • Conducting or supporting regulatory and compliance audits
  • Working within U.S. radioactive materials regulatory frameworks and OSHA requirements
  • Implementing or supporting an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 software suite
  • Operating effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment, prioritizing multiple workstreams while collaborating with cross-functional subject matter experts and receiving guidance from a line manager
  • Working remotely as part of a distributed team while maintaining a high level of personal accountability and ownership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and accurately convey technical regulatory and corporate program requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving, engaging relevant stakeholders to develop practical solutions that support regulatory compliance and business needs
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Protection (Health Physics), Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline; or an engineering or science degree with directly applicable experience
  • An advanced degree or Certified Health Physicist (CHP) certification may substitute for up to two years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in radiochemical or radiopharmaceutical manufacturing operations with responsibilities similar to those described above, or applied radiation protection experience in facilities handling curie quantities of unsealed radioactive material
  • Ability to obtain Certified Health Physicist (CHP) certification within one year, if not already certified
  • Must reside within the Northeastern United States, with reasonable access to New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, and surrounding areas, or willingness to relocate
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically

The base pay range for this position is:

$107,060 - $147,213

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
