Our client, a well-regarded NYC-based law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their growing practice focused on cooperative and condominium law. The ideal candidate will have deep experience advising co-op and condo boards on governance, drafting governing documents, andfiling with the NYS Attorney General.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead counsel for a portfolio of 30-50+ NYC co-op and condo boards
• Advise managing agents and board members on legal needs and governance matters
• Attend and manage board meetings (often evenings) and provide real-time legal counsel
• Draft and revise bylaws, proprietary leases, declarations, and house rules
• File offering plans, no-action letters, and amendments with the NYS Attorney General
• Handle shareholder/member disputes, election issues, and regulatory compliance

• 7-10+ years practicing condo/co-op law in NYC
• Experience with governance, AG filings, and client-facing board representation
• Ability to work independently and handle fast-paced, high-pressure situations
• Clear, confident communication skills with sophisticated boards and stakeholders

• Existing relationships with managing agents or boards
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Ability to provide live legal guidance during meetings

• Base, depending on experience
• % of originations + performance bonus
