Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (mid-level)

Location: Remote but must be local to Rockville MD, will be required to go onsite to the Datacenter occasionally.

Role: Contract to hire (6 months)

VISA: US Citizen and GC only

Role:

We are looking for a high-energy, inquisitive engineer to join a team of engineers/administrators that support a data center for a mid-sized firm located in MD. The role will require the opportunity to support existing systems and network infrastructure plus provide the opportunity to learn and advance your skills in IT Security and the Cloud as the data center will soon be migrating to the cloud.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience supporting data center Infrastructure.
• 1+ years of experience supporting AWS and Azure cloud.
• Should have solid skills administering systems in both an MS and Linux environment.
• Should have solid skills supporting Networking infrastructure like Routers, Switches, and Firewalls from Cisco and Fortinet.
• Should be comfortable with scripting for automation with Perl, Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Should have some real-world work experience, even if basic, supporting some AWS and Azure services in the cloud.
• Strong communication skills
