Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Landman to join our team. In this role, you will support land acquisition and lease negotiations, assist with title research, and coordinate with contract agencies to execute land agreements efficiently and accurately. You'll work closely with internal legal and operations teams, and interact with external stakeholders to support ongoing energy development projects.

This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in land services, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Title Review: Conduct preliminary title research to identify landowners, verify ownership, and support curative work.
• Lease Negotiation: Engage with landowners and fellow Landmen to negotiate lease terms and finalize agreements.
• Contract Coordination: Work alongside contract agencies to ensure all agreements are properly executed and documented.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of leases, titles, and ownership status within internal tracking systems.
• GIS Tools: Support mapping and land tracking using proprietary GIS software (training provided if needed).
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with landowners, agents, and internal teams to ensure clear, timely communication on all land matters.
• Compliance Awareness: Ensure leasing activities comply with applicable regulations and internal best practices.

• Prior experience in land leasing, title research, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Experience working in the energy sector (e.g., oil, gas, renewables).
• Familiarity with land titles, deeds, curative processes, and mineral rights.
• Exposure to GIS tools or SaaS platforms related to land management.
