Loan Servicing Specialist

The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for upholding and promoting core beliefs, values, and customer service standards. This role includes training and assisting new hires in routine duties such as loan maintenance, payoffs, and collateral release, generating documents, and providing knowledgeable and friendly customer service via telephone or email. The specialist will also participate in community service activities, act as a backup for SBA/Commercial and Consumer as needed, and provide coverage to various departmental positions.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold and promote core beliefs, values, and customer service standards.
• Train and assist new hires in performing routine duties such as loan maintenance, payoffs, and collateral release.
• Generate necessary documentation.
• Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to branches and customers via telephone or email.
• Participate in community service activities.
• Act as a backup for SBA/Commercial and Consumer services as needed.
• Provide coverage for various department positions such as accounting, consumer, reconveyance, and office clerk.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Essential Skills:

• Administrative skills
• Customer service expertise
• Banking operations knowledge
• 5+ years of experience in a banking setting

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years of experience in banking
• Three or more years of accounting and financial analysis skills
• Knowledge of banking policies and procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work within strict timeframes and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good knowledge of basic office equipment
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is a standard office setting with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires proficiency with basic office equipment and software such as Word and Excel.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coeur d'Alene, ID.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
