We are seeking a detail-oriented Banking Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of loan documents, maintaining files, and assisting with various banking and clerical tasks.
Check documentation sheets and ensure all items are received to complete files in a timely manner.
Correspond with institutions and vendors to gather necessary information such as title commitments, UCC pre-searches, and filings.
Order and review loan documents for accuracy including rate, term, legal descriptions, and signatures.
Maintain a tickler system to follow up on loan covenants as required by agreements.
Collaborate with the Title Company to ensure timely and accurate lien recording.
Assist with pending items/documentation from customers, institutions, and vendors.
Track and follow up on file maintenance such as rate changes, payments, and insurance.
Support Loan Servicing with file maintenance and needed documentation.
Participate actively in bank-related and community volunteer events.
Assist Relationship Managers with marketing and workflow tasks.
Monitor loans serviced to ensure required changes are accurate.
Refer potential candidates for bank products and services.
Provide clerical assistance including answering phones and assisting customers.
Maintain and balance holdover accounts, balance budgets, and upload accounts payable.
Assist with marketing efforts and maintaining reports and forms for compliance.
Ensure documents comply with bank lending policies and procedures.
Prepare monthly Production Reports and compile Maturing and Past Due Loans Reports.
Maintain service level expectations as defined by the bank.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act.
1+ years of clerical experience in a bank.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in customer service, consumer lending, and basic accounting.
Ability to multitask and handle complex tasks efficiently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of clerical experience in a banking environment.
Fundamental understanding of banking, accounting, or legal experience.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic office equipment.
The work schedule is from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The role requires the ability to work in a professional banking environment with a focus on customer service and compliance.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coeur d'Alene, ID.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.30/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Coeur d'Alene,ID.
