We are seeking a dynamic Small Business Banking Leader to join our team. The Small Business Banking Leader participates in business development efforts by identifying prospects and cultivating client relationships to achieve sales goals. You will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service while maintaining the bank's profitability and asset quality standards. Additionally, you will support and guide staff within a relational team to meet established objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and investigate opportunities to expand our Small Business market share and increase profitability while achieving production goals.
  • Market Small Business products and services through client calls and follow-ups, generating leads and referrals.
  • Foster collaboration with other bank personnel for effective client support and sales functions.
  • Integrate and maintain effective Internal Controls within applicable work processes.
  • Participate in training programs to maximize Small Business sales opportunities, focusing on product knowledge and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement tailored call plans to increase market penetration and client engagement.
  • Build relationships with small business contacts to enhance client referrals.
  • Pre-qualify Small Business borrowers by preparing cash flow worksheets and analyzing financial records.
  • Address all banking needs of Small Business clients, collaborating with product specialists for a comprehensive service experience.
  • Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Engage in community affairs and activities for business development.
  • Maintain reliable attendance.
  • Execute compliance and risk management duties as assigned.

Managerial and Administrative Functions:

  • Oversee daily workflow administration for team members.
  • Set performance goals with team members, monitoring and reviewing progress.
  • Develop the skills of team relationship officers through training and performance evaluations.
  • Communicate and interpret bank guidelines, policies, and programs.
  • Collaborate with the team to formulate short- and long-term plans.
  • Support the Bank's Affirmative Action goals.
  • Participate in community events and activities to enhance visibility.
  • Ensure balanced management of borrower and non-borrower relationships for optimal service.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • General banking knowledge and experience in Small Business lending.
  • Experience in fiduciary relationship management and Small Business transactions.
  • Proficient in understanding Small Business policies, product knowledge, and financial analysis.
  • Working knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong client relationships.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Able to set and achieve challenging goals.
  • Must hold or obtain a Mortgage Loan Originator registration number through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).

Compensation: $95,169 - $142,754

The compensation range represents the base salary for this role, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as location, experience, and performance. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
