Describe

The Be Bold Conference exists to inspire, equip, and empower. The Creative Director leads the entire creative vision – brand, theme, stage visuals, motion/video, web/social, merchandise, and on‑site media.

What You'll Do

  • Creative Vision & Brand System – Own and evolve the visual identity and annual theme; translate vision into a cohesive, scalable design system across all channels and venues.
  • Partner with Executive, Production, and Music teams to craft spiritually aligned stage looks, screen content, and service moments (walk‑ins, transitions, lower thirds, lyric/scripture backgrounds).
  • Build creative guidelines, templates, and usage standards for internal teams and vendors.

Content, Merch & Media Production

  • Design event/conference graphics: main & sub‑themes, stage screens, countdowns, lower thirds, slide templates, web banners, email headers, social covers/thumbnails, ads, on‑site signage.
  • Merchandise: Own apparel and product design from concept to print‑ready art (tees, hoodies, hats, stickers, journals, lanyards, mugs, posters). Deliver tech packs, colorways, size runs, and print specs; coordinate with vendors for samples, QA, and on‑time delivery.
  • Video (promo + in‑event): Create trailers/teasers, testimonies, speaker features, social shorts, paid‑ad edits; produce in‑event packages (openers, walk‑ins, transitions, bumpers, scripture/motion backgrounds, recap reels).
  • Deliver multi‑format masters and cut‑downs (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), captioned and platform‑optimized; manage b‑roll, music licensing, and archival.

AI & Emerging Tech Leadership

  • Implement ethical, generative‑AI workflows to boost speed and quality (image/text effects, look‑dev, captioning/transcription, content repurposing).
  • Set guardrails for licensing, attribution, and ministry‑appropriate usage; encourage content provenance best practices.
  • Pilot AI assistants for meeting notes, creative reviews, and automated task creation in project tools.

Live Experience, Screens & Environments

  • Coordinate LED/visual playback with presentation systems (e.g., ProPresenter‑style).
  • Collaborate with Broadcast/IMAG for switch, mix, and record (e.g., ATEM‑style) to ensure the livestream complements the in‑room experience (consistent lower thirds, bugs, replay packages).
  • Build operator playbooks and run‑of‑show graphics cues; support rehearsals and show‑lock deadlines.

Digital, Social & Campaigns

  • Own the asset slate for web, email, ads, reels/shorts, social graphics, motion templates, and merch artwork; maintain a reusable library of templates and motion toolkits.
  • Partner with Marketing to A/B test thumbnails/hooks/headlines and iterate based on performance (CTR/CPV/CPA/ROAS).
  • Maintain an organized DAM (naming, versioning, rights) for rapid reuse across future cities.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Build and mentor a blended team (staff, freelancers, volunteers). Establish clear briefs, review cadences, and QA standards.
  • Own creative calendars, sprint plans, and deliverable trackers; manage vendor relationships (photo/video crews, LED providers, printers) and steward the creative budget.
  • Representative Technology & AI Stack: Standardize the stack with Production/IT and evaluate equivalents as needed.
  • Presentation & Lyrics: Multi‑screen presentation/lyrics system with stage display, lower thirds, NDI support.
  • Broadcast/Streaming: Hardware/software switcher (keying/macros), resilient multi‑destination streaming.
  • Playback/LED: Media servers or VJ software for LED walls and immersive looks.
  • Audio Sync: Tracks/cues platform for synchronized service flow.
  • Creative & AI: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere) plus generative‑AI tools.
  • Transcription/Notes: AI note‑taking and summary tools integrated with project management.

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years in creative direction, motion/brand design, or live‑event creative.
  • Portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns (brand, stage, broadcast, social) and strong visual storytelling.
  • Fluency with Adobe CC; experience with live presentation workflows and LED/broadcast fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated merch/apparel design experience (print specs, colour separations, vendor‑ready files).
  • Proven video/motion chops (trailers, bumpers, social shorts); ability to deliver platform‑optimized edits with captions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills; thrives under tight timelines.

Success Metrics (first 12 months)

  • Cohesive Theme: Unified visual language across channels and venues.
  • Speed & Quality: 25–40% faster asset turnaround via AI‑assisted workflows (tracked in Asana).
  • Video Outcomes: Promo packages drive measurable lifts in registrations/engagement.
  • Merch Performance: Top SKUs achieve target sell‑through (e.g., 70%+ by event close) with post‑event reorders.
  • Broadcast Consistency: Fewer stream incidents; standardized CG/lower‑thirds package delivered pre‑show.
  • Library & Reuse: Rights‑cleared, well‑tagged asset library enabling rapid reuse across future cities.
