In this fresh position, we are introducing a modernised inspection system by using Remotely Operated Vehicle to examine our in-service water storage assets assisting our Reservoir Maintenance team to adhere to the new Risk Based 1-, 3- & 5-year inspection program that we are currently adhering to. The scope of the role expands to implementing the new 3D scanning technology to storage assets whilst out of service as well as supporting both Reservoir Operating Teams with programmed cleans & inspections as & where additional resourcing is required. Your role will also be key in gathering information produced by the inspections and creating the required findings to report highlighting any potential structural/ water quality risks to the relevant teams. Therefore, a good knowledge of technical or regulatory discipline will be highly beneficial, however we are willing to provide to the required level of training if you demonstrate a true passion to be involved in this novel drive. This is a role for you if you are looking for a change from a desk bound role and ready to be out and about with occasional overnight stays visiting our sites across our operational regions (Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight) with assets that are away from our Henfield base to carry out the required inspections. You would need to be prepared to work within confined spaces and willing to be trained on using necessary equipments. Supporting our on-site team in maintaining the water quality, you will be expected to work outdoors therefore your flexibility is key in carrying out your role in any weather conditions and being able to support with reactive task which may extend your working hours in some occasions. To be successful in this role, you will be an IT literate with a general interest within the water industry working towards understanding risk-based principles in maintaining our adherence to our inspection programme. You will be a self-starter with proactive mindset and curious to learn, you will be able to manage the scope of your work on your own in this highly empowered role.
