Responsibilities
Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images electronically
Performs a variety of tasks
Works under general supervision
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology OR equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years related experience in imaging field
A.R.R.T. Registration in Radiography required and MRI registry required within 18 months of hire, or current ARMRIT certification
BLS required
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
Must be able to maintain a standing position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
