Job Details

Responsible for observing, communicating and interacting with confused, violent, combative or suicidal patients with the intent to prevent injury. Assist nursing with basic patient care functions. Notify nursing, via the designated method of communication, so that immediate interventions may be implemented when needed Responsibilities: Watches patients at all times, never leaves the patient unattended without proper relief Identifies behaviors, events, or environmental factors that may predispose a patient to violent/destructive actions or increased agitation, reports signs of escalation to the patient s nurse Maintains a safe environment for the patient in their room, removes dangerous items and screens items brought by visitors Assists with patient ambulation and positioning of patients under nursing oversight Maintains patient information confidentiality Effectively solves problems and resolves conflicts Effectively communicates with patients, families, visitors, team members, physi...Patient, Attendant, Healthcare, Safety
