Sr. CAD Piping Designer - Remote

Responsibilities:

Successful candidate shall be proficient in Midstream - Piping Design tasks related to oil & gas facilities particularly terminals including meter sites, pump stations, trap and valve sites, compressor stations, and the associated equipment and system components.
Experience with layout of new facilities as well as modification and retrofit of existing systems, and exhibit the capability to:

  • Prepare Process Flow and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams in accordance with industry standards.
  • Ability to generate design documents from 3D models and to create piping and equipment models in CADWorx software.
  • Ability to generate a P&IDs from a virtual video.
  • Ability to read and develop documents including, but not limited to plot plans, piping plans, sections, and details, equipment models, and piping isometric drawings and be responsible for the quality of the developed work product.
  • Capable of reading, understanding, and integrating customer piping specifications into design software.
  • Ability to work independently , manage your time and show quality production.
  • Ability to conduct facility/field assessments and gather data required to produce as-built documentation.
  • Interface as necessary with in-house engineering, project management, drafting, purchasing, as well as outside consultants, and client project and facility personnel.
  • Provides quality assurance of the work performed for designs, general arrangements and drafting accuracy and compliance with code and company/client standards.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings to develop project requirements, review designs, and report progress.
Required Skills & Tools:
  • Advanced CAD design using CADWorx and AutoCAD.
  • Experience producing complete IFC mechanical packages from early-stage concepts to final deliverables.
  • Able to interpret and refine client or owner-supplied models.
Industry Experience Must-Haves:
  • Terminal and pipeline station experience-especially "inside the fence" at existing asset sites.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Truck loading racks
    • Tank farm operations
    • Ethanol blending processes (ratio, sequential, wild stream, side stream)
    • Emissions control equipment (flares, VCUs, VRUs)
    • Pipeline equipment such as valves, pumps, launchers/receivers, meters
Summary of Non-Negotiables:
  • Proficiency in CADWorx and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in midstream design, particularly terminals.
  • Confidence making design decisions in uncertain or changing environments.
