Nuclear Medicine Technologist Position Summary:Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures.Responsibilities: Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physicianFollows radiation safety techniques when disposing radioactive materialsPerforms a variety of tasksTypically reports to chief technologist or managerPerforms other related duties as assignedFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldCompetent to meet age specific needs of the unit assignedRegular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine OR successful completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program preferredCurrent Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within one year of hirePET/CT experience preferredWorking Conditions:Must be able to maintain a standing positionTypical equipment used in a clinical jobMust be able to stoop, crouch or bendMust be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment About Kootenai Health:Kootenai Health is a highly esteemed healthcare organization serving patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
