Licensed Veterinary Technician

At VCA River City Animal Hospital, you matter! Our technician team is growing, and we are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Patient Care Team! Overall Responsibility: Our mission is to provide compassionate veterinary care to help ensure a long, healthy, and happy life for our patients. So how do we accomplish this? With our dedicated, compassionate team! Our LVTs provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients. Responsibilities include: assisting doctors with exams, treatments and procedures; venipuncture and IVC placement; administering SQ fluids, medications, etc.; working in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team; recognizing subtle change in clinical status; discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them; completing estimates, basic record keeping; surgical preparation and assisting; anesthesia monitoring; and dentistry.

Schedule: Full-time days M-F

Compensation: $19 - $23/hr determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field.
