The GI Assistant is a key member of the endoscopy team, responsible for assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, the GI Assistant supports physicians, nurses, and anesthesia staff by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of endoscopic equipment and providing direct patient support throughout procedures. Responsibilities Assists nursing staff with patient admission and discharge Prepares, operates, and maintains endoscopic equipment before, during, and after procedures Aids physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures Documents procedural information accurately and timely in the electronic health record Ensures all equipment and endoscopy suites are clean and adhere to infection control standards Transports patients to and from the endoscopy suite as needed and assists with positioning and monitoring during procedures Collects and processes tissue and/or fluid specimens as required Monitors inv...Assistant, Healthcare, Equipment, Patient
