Job Details

Responsible for safely transporting patients and equipment throughout all service areas of the hospital. Physically transfers patients of all levels, including high acuity, at nurse discretion and/or request, with proper mode of transport at time requested. Delivers, picks up, organizes, stores, cleans and maintains equipment used in patient transport and patient care. Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff. Responsibilities Physically transfers patients from bed to gurney or wheelchair utilizing proper lift assist techniques and equipment; moving associated lines and drains with patient to ensure no patient harm Promptly responds to patient fall alerts, safely lifting patient from floor to appropriate equipment Supports the bed management process, including discussion of patient needs with nursing staff to arrange proper bed/rental, delivering and setting up the bed, and transporting patient into bed with proper settings for specific patient need...Equipment, Transport, Patient, Healthcare, Patient Care
