Your Role & Responsibility

• Provide expert advice on securing financial technology systems, applications, APIs, and databases, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and local regulatory requirements.
• Architect solutions in accordance with security frameworks and policies to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to integrate security best practices in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), promoting secure code development and automated security testing.
• Perform security audits and review penetration tests, presenting actionable reports to leadership and relevant teams.
• Monitor and analyse security alerts and threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
• Lead security risk assessments and assist with vulnerability management and incident response activities across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Assist investigations into security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend measures for improvement.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, tools, and regulatory changes affecting the FinTech industry.
• Mentor junior security team members and guide cross-functional teams on all matters related to information security.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on financial or FinTech environments.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, OWASP, GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Broad experience across all security domains.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, and securing API environments.
• Proficiency in risk assessment and threat modelling.
• Relevant certifications such as SANS or similar are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex security challenges into actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team-player mindset.
• Fluent English is a must.
• Experience with compliance audits related to PCI DSS, GDPR, or other financial regulations.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automation tools, and secure development pipelines.
• Experience in leading security teams or projects in multicultural, cross-functional settings.
• Proficiency in Arabic or experience in the Middle East financial market is a plus.
