This position is $26.00/hour and the schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with an hour of unpaid lunch.

Job Position Summary

Knudtsen Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Billing Manager. The Billing Manager, Title Clerk, and Car Deal Processor will all report to the Office Manager in regard to performance, attendance, etc. However, the Billing Manager is directly responsible for the duties and responsibilities of the Title Clerk and Car Deal Processor and must be able to perform and train in these positions. The intent of this structure is to have a leader of the billing team and provide additional support and guidance to the areas of titling and car deal processing. The Billing Manager will also route vehicle transactions and ensure the proper completion of related documentation through the accounting office.

Responsibilities
  • Posts sales transactions to accounting records such as worksheets, ledgers and computer files.
  • Reconciles office records with those of the sales department.
  • Prepares a daily report of contracts, vehicle receivables due and proceeds.
  • Accounts for all deal records. Compiles a list of any missing transactions.
  • Manages Courtesy Delivery tasks.
  • Reviews fuel slips daily for Accounts Payable.
  • Resolves any titling problems with the responsible managers.
  • Signs off on commission payments based on final documentation.
  • Prepares invoices, listing items sold and service provided, amounts due and credit terms.
  • Reports unit sales figures and overaged vehicle inventory to controller.
  • Keeps abreast of factory sales programs and ensures proper credits to accounts are made.
  • Compiles reports as requested.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Be able to stand and sit for an hour or more at a time.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Required pre-employment drug test (note: we do not test for marijuana during pre-employment testing).
  • Also subject to random drug testing, reasonable suspicion drug testing, and post-accident testing at the company's request.

The Billing Manager may be required to stand for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time, walk with customers and team members, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment for the Billing Manager varies, but often is an office setting and working in a car showroom. The Billing Manager will be required to walk the dealership property and may encounter inclement weather. The Billing Manager may also enter the service areas and be exposed to dangerous work environments and loud noises. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
