We are seeking an Engineering Services Manager with experience primarily in the Commercial, Education, Transportation, and Energy markets to serve our clients. This position supports our North Region and is based out of our Hayden, Idaho or Spokane, Washington offices.

Major Responsibilities

1. Direct technical support (including project management) for North Region Geotechnical Engineering proposals and projects.
2. Business development and leading others.
3. Project pursuit assessments, scope of service and fee development, proposal support and review, project initiation support, and mentoring of the North Region's Engineering Team.
4. Support growth and take ownership of the Geotechnical Engineering consulting market in terms of developing our client base, revenue, services, and volume of work.
5. Prepare Statements of Qualifications for project procurement and attend marketing meetings with major clients and federal or state officials.
6. Manage project budgets and schedules efficiently.
7. Maintain client communication throughout the project life (conception to completion).
8. Work closely with Staff Engineers to guide and develop them into their geotechnical engineering careers.
9. Hire and supervise Staff Engineers.
10. Oversee and perform fieldwork as necessary.
11. Interpret subsurface data and laboratory test results to incorporate subsurface conditions into project analyses and recommendations.
12. Prepare geotechnical reports and letters, including geotechnical analyses and calculations.
13. Use good engineering and business practices and procedures to reduce STRATA's risk.
14. Utilize engineering standards of care at all times.

Qualifications

1. Strong soil mechanics and foundation engineering knowledge.
2. Ability to develop creative, technically-sound professional solutions for our clients.
3. Skilled in verbal and written communications, meeting deadlines, and personal organization while overseeing the work of Staff Engineers.
4. Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
5. Idaho and/or Washington State Professional Engineering (PE) License (or the ability to obtain the License within three months of hire).
6. Five years of experience in hiring, leading, and developing Staff Engineers.
