Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Join our team working in a large industrial hardware distribution center. We offer various shifts and departments including inventory control, shipping, receiving, order filling, and stocking. You'll use RF scan guns, headsets, forklifts, and other equipment to complete your tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Sort, scan, check merchandise, and ensure products are loaded onto the correct pallets/trucks for customer delivery.

• Build pallets, load trucks, scan and wrap pallets, and handle larger items such as ladders and pipes.

• Frequently lift and carry items weighing 0-70lbs, occasionally over 70lbs.

• Perform a lot of twisting, bending, squatting, and reaching.

• Scan and receive inbound merchandise, unload trucks, and rebuild pallets for transport.

• Verify pallet counts and receiving labels, and deliver scanned merchandise to staging areas.

• Constantly lift and carry 20-50lbs, occasionally over 50lbs.

• Stock merchandise from receiving onto shelves, utilizing power equipment like reach trucks and forklifts.

• Frequently lift and carry 20-50lbs, occasionally over 50lbs.

• Pick smaller items, fill totes, and label cartons using a headset in a fast-paced environment.

• Pick heavier merchandise and larger items using power equipment, label products, and account for damaged goods.

• Constantly lift and carry 50-60lbs+, perform frequent bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching.

• Audit daily inventory reports, perform physical audits, prepare defective merchandise for disposition, and communicate with vendors.

Essential Skills

• Experience with shipping and receiving, order picking, RF scanners, and order pulling.

• Experience operating power equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.

• Ability to perform fast-paced and heavy labor tasks.

• Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Good math and reading skills.

• Ability to interact with various departments and management.

• Previous power equipment/forklift and scan gun experience preferred.

Work Environment

Work in the world's largest independent hardware distributor's warehouse with over 150 employees and multiple shifts. Our large facility is very clean, safety-oriented, and operates in a fast-paced, chaotic environment with multiple departments. The job involves a lot of physical activities including twisting, bending, squatting, stooping, crawling, and climbing. You will be required to pass an OccMed Physical at the time of conversion.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of POST FALLS, Idaho.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
