Your Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air.
• Schedule repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment by third-parties when necessary.
• Prepare and monitor the department budget, ensuring efficient use of funds.
• Recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
• Ensure the facility grounds are attractive and well-maintained.
• Follow annual fire life safety and water regulations.
• Manage the Maintenance Assistant (where applicable).

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred.

Licenses/Certification

• Current valid driver's license from the State in which the facility operates.

Experience

• Five years of experience in building maintenance.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• At least one year of long-term care facility experience preferred.
